COMPANY FOUNDER, EXECUTIVE DESIGNER
GREGG SHELBY
Gregg is a forth generation designer and builder, with a rich family history of more than a hundred years designing and building commercial and residential projects all over the world. As a young man, Gregg worked alongside his father and two uncles remodeling and building homes. During this time in Gregg’s life he developed his skills in each of the trades; at the age of twenty-one he built a custom home for himself on a lake just west of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After years of persistent dedication and refining skills Gregg built many homes for himself, as well as, other speculative construction projects located both in the US and international locations.

Antonio was born and studied in Costa Rica, Central America, where interior design came naturally to him. His country has a rich history of Colonial Architecture and later adopted other important design concepts from outstanding European architects, builders and designers. Antonio organically refined his professional development focusing on the dynamic spectrum of design styles ranging from the classics to contemporary.

Over four decades, Gregg Shelby produced and directed television films, national TV commercials, programming for National Geographic, PBS Network, Discovery Channel and syndicated television series worldwide.
In 1986 the veteran producer and director spread his creative wings focusing on, architecture and interior design, which was a natural adjunct to his talents in the film industry. While he was at the top of his film career, he acted on his passions by studying interior design, as well as, commercial and residential architecture. These new skills not only benefited Gregg’s directorial skills, but added to his career options since the key principles applied to interior design and architecture are also an integral component of film making.
The principal concept of interior design is much like the art-direction for TV and films, both use a similar criteria setting a mood and reinforcing the emotion of the desired results. As a designer Mr. Shelby often underscores the differences between the visual environment of a comedy versus a drama or horror film. Much in the way that a film’s art-direction plays an important roll by supporting the storytelling, the mission of an interior design plan is equally crucial in achieving the client’s desired results.
It has often been said that “Design is the universal language”, without a single spoken word a room well designed by a skilled and inspired designer has the potential to invoke a magnificent emotional impression. For many years, Gregg and his team of designers have successfully delivered stunning projects transforming their clients’ homes, into well executed projects, that live up to and more importantly surpass the ultimate desire of a client’s design expectation.

Antonio’s lineage comes from Spain, with his family relocating to Costa Rica in the early 1900’s, around this time San José – Costa Rica became the second place after Paris – France to build a fully electrified grid for their largest city. This event had a profound impact on his ancestors who became engineers, builders, architects and designers. This heritage naturally guided Antonio’s pathway, building on the talents of several generations of family members.
Antonio’s formative years of study were immersed in the fields of design and Civil Engineering. After graduation, Antonio pursued a fellowship as a construction project manager with logistics exceeding eighty million dollars for a multiple national commercial project.
Later, Antonio fine tuned his skills and focused on his design passions, combining the vital disciplines necessary for a successful award winning designer. He considers both form and function as a high priority, which requires advanced thinking in regards to human ergonomics for the comfort and design considerations, something most clients highly value.
Antonio’s has a down to earth perspective and design style which is intuitive and refreshing and often exceeds the expectations of his clients. He is eager to please and instinctively tunes or plugs into the wishes and needs of his clients, while guiding them with confidence reflected by his extensive worldly design skills.
Antonio was born for this journey and that of his client’s, it is easy to sense his passion which creates a pleasant and outstanding design experience. Years of successful design and project management results have been a rewarding and driving force for Antonio.
